THE JOURNEYWOMAN'S PIECE.
Designed for and in product development with Elsa Torell Nordgren. Cabinet making by Victor af Wetterstedt.
With inspiration from matter, paste and materials that gets reshaped by by its own weight or external interruption, this project is a beginning of a search for an armchair that in some way challenges the traditional way of shaping a traditional journeywoman's piece.
The defiance in this process lays in the will of getting the right feel to the sweeping shape of the arms and seat connected, aiming for a bulky polystyrene manner but in more sustainable materials such as coconut.
The shapes of the armchair is designed to present the user with options and movability. Use the backrest as a armsupporter, throw your legs over the arms, change directions. Feel free to be.
